Christine Welton, RVT

Registered Veterinary Technician

Since before I could even remember, I always wanted to do something with animals. I had such a deep fondness for animals I originally only wanted to be a veterinarian. However, blood, needles, and pain seemed to be a weak spot for me when I was little. I could still not think of doing anything else.

I started by doing the Veterinary Assistant program at St. Lawrence College in Kingston in 2004  to see if this was the path I wanted to continue doing. My love for veterinary medicine only grew more. I started working in the field right after graduation, where I began training as an assistant/technician. I was then given the opportunity to continue my education and go on to become a Veterinary Technician, which I did without hesitation. I took my technician course through Algonquin College in Ottawa in 2009.

My passion for veterinary medicine is everything. Whether it is surgery, dentistry, lab work, client education and support, animal comfort etc., I want to do it. I love the team I work with, and I really feel that Pinnacle strives for the best care of our patients and their families!

Outside of work, I have a passion for dance and volleyball.
