Dr. Andrew Pender
Dr. Pender was born and raised in Renfrew. He grew up on a dairy farm and from a young age was surrounded with an array of animals. Dr. Pender studied Human Kinetics at University of Guelph for 3 years before starting veterinary school. He graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2002. In 2003, Dr. Pender opened the Pinnacle Animal Hospital and has worked here since. Dr. Pender enjoys the opportunity to work with many people and help strengthen the human animal bond. His professional interests include soft tissue surgery and nutrition.
Dr. Pender shares his home with his wife and two children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and loves fishing.
Dr. Sarah Seguin
Dr. Seguin grew up in Stittsville and has always had a love for animals and knew from an early age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She completed two years of her Animal Biology degree at the University of Guelph before her acceptance into veterinary school. Dr. Seguin graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College and joined the Pinnacle Animal Hospital team in spring 2012. She enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, with a special interest in surgery and rehabilitation. Dr. Seguin recently completed a rehabilitation training course at the University of Tennessee and is now a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner.
Dr. Seguin now lives in the area with her husband and much loved Bernese Mountain Dog Cooper. She enjoys spending time outdoors, especially at their cottage.
Dr. Jennifer Montgomery
Dr. Montgomery grew up in Pembroke, Ontario. She completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Wildlife Biology at the University of Guelph in 2006. After graduation, she worked for a year at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency in the Disease Control department in Ottawa. She then returned to Guelph in 2007 to start the Veterinary Medicine program and graduated in 2011.
Dr. Montgomery worked in Pembroke for almost 5 years and was pleased to join the team at Pinnacle Animal Hospital at the end of 2015. She has a special interest in feline and preventative medicine.
Dr. Montgomery lives in Pembroke with her husband and two cats, Lester and Rocky and enjoys fishing, boating, snowmobiling and skiing!
